West Ham won’t entertain offers for Manchester United transfer target Declan Rice this summer but are willing to listen to offers for Said Benrahma, according to Daily Mail.

West Ham boss David Moyes is keen on improving his squad this summer and is willing to sacrifice Said Benrahma and not Declan Rice to boost funds.

Moyes has identified signing soon-to-depart Manchester United attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard as a priority this summer and is hoping to raise funds for the transfer.

The Algeria winger joined on an initial loan from Brentford and was signed for £30m but has failed to deliver on a consistent basis for West Ham.

Said Benrahma scored 11 goals in all competitions during the 2021/22 season and the Hammers and the Hammers are keen to recoup the £30million spent on his transfer.

Benrahma isn’t currently a target for Manchester United. The Red Devils instead want his teammate Declan Rice.

West Ham legend Sir Geoff Hurst believes the Hammers should consider selling Rice this summer if they receive bids in excess of £100million amid interest from Manchester United.

“I’m hopeful [he will stay] but not necessarily confident,” Hurst told talkSPORT.

“It is a big issue for a young player with his outstanding talent at a club not in the top four or five.

“They’ve offered him a big contract and I’d like to see him at the club and stay.

“He’s absolutely brilliant, a decent lad and fantastic player and still to improve.

“[But]If you were to get £100million plus, which is a possibility, then you could strengthen the club with three or four players in different positions.”

He added: “I did a private Zoom call to him and said to him what I’d like to see him improving is scoring a few more goals, like Martin Peters.

“He can add a few more. Defensively, he is unbelievable. I think he’s too good to be just a defensive and holding midfielder.

“He’s magnificent at that, but he’s got a wider scope to improve and score more goals.”

Meanwhile, Premier League side Wolves have hijacked a deal for this Manchester United transfer target.
