Manchester United have made a serious move for Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio, according to media outlet Tribal Football.

The report claims the Real Madrid midfielder, with three Champions League winners medal, is available this summer for just £17million.

The 26-year-old has been part of Real Madrid’s hugely successful squad in the last few years. He’s won three Champions League titles, as well as three La Liga championships.

Marco Asensio has just one year left in his contract and is keen on leaving Real Madrid this summer in search of regular football.

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is reportedly a big fan of Asensio and is ready to offer him regular football at Old Trafford next season.

Marco Asensio started just 19 La Liga games for Real Madrid last season with 12 substitute appearances. He also started just 2 Champions League games for Real Madrid last season.

While the report on Tribal Football claims Asensio is available for just £17million, Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo claim Real Madrid will demand €50million (£43m) for Asensio this summer.

Marco Asensio amassed 12 goals and two assists in 42 outings across all competitions, playing his part in Real Madrid’s La Liga triumph and Champions League success.

Manchester United and Marco Asensio are reportedly in regular contact through super-agent Jorge Mendes.

Real Madrid have offered Marco Asensio a new deal but he’s yet to signal his agreement. If he fails to commit, then Los Blancos are expected to put him up for sale this summer.

Asensio is reportedly not willing to extend his Real Madrid contract and is prepared to walk away from Real Madrid as a free agent next year if he isn’t allowed to leave this summer.

Marco Asensio recently told Diario AS: “This is an important moment and I will have to make important decisions.”

Premier League rivals Arsenal are also interested in signing the 26 year old Real Madrid star but Manchester United are reportedly leading the race for the Spain international.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti told AS about Asensio: “He’s a player with extraordinary quality.

“He had a serious knee injury which left him out for a long time and with a slow rehabilitation.

“He’s an important player who has helped us. I don’t know what will will happen regarding his future.”

Will Marco Asensio end up at Manchester United?
