Spanish midfielder Juan Mata has received a massive offer with the midfielder set to leave Manchester United this summer.

Mata will leave as a free agent after eight years at the club following the expiration of his contract at the end of the month.

According to Tribal Football, Al Hilal has offered Juan Mata a deal worth €10m-a-year to move to Saudi Arabia.

This is an increase from the €9.7million he received yearly at Manchester United.

However, despite the tempting offer from Al Hilal, the report claims Juan Mata has rejected the offer along with offers from Turkey.

Instead, Mata sees himself returning to Spain next season, where he has interest from Sevilla, Real Betis and Real Sociedad.

Since joining the Red Devils in 2014 he made 285 appearances and scored 51 goals.

A report on The Times claims Mata is open to joining another Premier League side this summer when his contract expires on June 30.

He has not ruled out staying in England although a return to Spain is possible and there is interest in the MLS.

After his Manchester United departure was announced, Mata sent a message to Manchester United fans.

Mata said: “From here, from the middle of the pitch at Old Trafford, at night. I’m alone. Actually, this feels like a dream.

“I wanted to say thank you very much to all of you for your support over the years and especially during the difficult times that we lived together.

“I will never forget you. Thank you very much. All the best from the bottom of my heart and goodbye.”

Bruno Fernandes has hailed Juan Mata as the Spaniard gets set to depart Manchester United.

Fernandes wrote: “One legend, magician, mentor and a true friend!

“I couldn’t be more lucky to find someone to look for and learn in this beginning at @ManUtd and the @premierleague.

“Was a pleasure to play alongside with you, but more than that was amazing after this time having you as a friend.

“I want to wish you all the best in the future, because you deserve nothing less than the best.

“This is not a goodbye letter because you know that you have to come back and have a cappuccino and croissants with your friends. Legend.”
