Manchester United are reportedly interested in bringing back former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham to the Premier League.

The England international striker left Chelsea for AS Roma last summer after the Blues signed former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan.

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag wants a centre-forward this summer but the Red Devils missed out on signing Darwin Nunez, who opted to join rivals Liverpool.

The 24 year old Tammy Abraham enjoyed an impressive first season in Italian football, finding the back of the net on 26 occasions in 52 appearances in all competitions, in addition to contributing five assists.

In the Serie A alone, Abraham scored 17 times and registered four assists as Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma finished sixth in the league.

Tammy Abraham also scored eight goals in 12 UEFA Conference League matches, as Jose Mourinho’s side won the trophy.

According to Corriere dello Sport via Sports Mole, the England international’s performances in Italy have attracted the attention of Manchester United.

Premier League rivals Arsenal are also interested in signing the 24 year old striker.

Manchester United reportedly see Tammy Abraham as an ideal replacement for Edinson Cavani, who left the club as a free agent this summer.

Chelsea are believed to have a buy-back clause of €80m (£66.7m) on Abraham, although Thomas Tuchel’s side cannot activate it until next summer.

Tammy Abraham scored 30 times and registered 12 assists in 82 appearances for Chelsea before leaving for AS Roma last summer after falling down the pecking order at Chelsea.

Abraham broke into the England set up in 2019 and has three goals in 11 international games, although all three came in heavy England wins.

Abraham has four years left on his Roma contract and the Italian side will be unwilling to let the striker leave unless an irresistible offer is submitted.

Despite interest from Manchester United and Arsenal, the report also adds Abraham is happy in Rome and isn’t seeking a move this summer.

Corriere Dello Sport also reported Abraham’s agent Neil Fewings receives £345,000 for every transfer window the striker stays at Roma.
