Manchester United are reportedly now desperate to offload France international Anthony Martial and Ivory Coast international Eric Bailly this summer.

Martial and Bailly have fallen down the pecking order at Manchester United and both players aren’t in Erik ten Hag’s plans for next season.

According to The Sun, Manchester United are now desperately offering Martial and Bailly to clubs and are willing to sell at any amount.

Martial, 26, is set to return to the Red Devils following an underwhelming loan spell with Sevilla in the second half of last season, which saw him score only once in 12 appearances across all competitions.

Despite signing Martial for around £38.5million in 2015, Manchester United are willing to accept a loss on the France international and will listen to offers of £20million for the 26 year old.

Martial’s £240,000-a-week wages are proving a massive stumbling block to any move with no club prepared to match that.

Martial still has two years left on his Manchester United contract which means United may have to agree to a pay off to get him out of Old Trafford.

Since joining Manchester United from Monaco in 2015, Martial has scored 79 goals in 269 games.

Martial’s best season for Manchester United was under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the 2019-20 season, in which he scored 23 goals in 48 games.

Manchester United are also actively trying to find a buyer for centre-back Eric Bailly.

The Red Devils offered the Ivory Coast international to Premier League side Newcastle United but that was met with a lukewarm response.

Bailly still has two years left on his Manchester United contract, having signed a contract extension in April 2021.

As with Martial, Manchester United are ready to take a hit on Bailly with an asking price of just £8.5million for a player who cost the club £30million from Villarreal in 2016.

Bailly has played just 45 Premier League games for Manchester United in the last five seasons.
