Manchester United have suffered another transfer blow this summer with Premier League side Crystal Palace set to sign Derby wonderkid Malcolm Ebiowei.

According to The Sun, Crystal Palace have won the race to sign the 18 year old winger, who is available on a free transfer after leaving Derby County.

The 18 year old wonderkid was wanted by Manchester United and French club Monaco.

Eboiwei is understood to have undergone a Crystal Palace medical on Monday.

And it is believed Ebiowei has agreed a contract until 2027 with Crystal Palace, handing a huge blow to Manchester United.

Manchester United, meanwhile, are still waiting to land our first signing of the Erik ten Hag era.

Ten Hag wants Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, Denmark international midfielder Christian Eriksen and Ajax star Antony.

Ajax centre-back Jurrien Timber is also a target for Manchester United but the Ajax defender has now opted to stay at Ajax.

Timber’s transfer U-turn has now seen Manchester United switch attention to another Ajax centre-back Lisandro Martinez.

Martinez was named Ajax Player of the Year following an impressive season for the Dutch champions.

Ten Hag also wants a back-up goalkeeper to Manchester United first-choice goalkeeper David de Gea.

With Dean Henderson leaving the club for newly promoted Premier League club Nottingham Forest this summer, a back-up goalkeeper is needed at Manchester United.

Manchester United are currently in talks to sign Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann as back-up to De Gea for next season.

Bachmann was back-up to Ben Foster at Watford last season and he is reportedly available for £4million this summer.

Meanwhile, according to former Netherlands international Wim Kieft, Ten Hag knows Manchester United target Antony is an ‘idiot’.

Antony was sent off in Ajax’s 3-2 win over rivals Feyenoord back on March 20.

After scoring the winner in the 87th minute, the Brazilian received a yellow card for taking off his shirt and charging towards fans to celebrate.

He then managed to pick up a second yellow in the 95th minute to see red.

Wim Kieft said: “He is not that young anymore, because he has been doing this for two years. Such a boy cannot be calmed by a coach, in the end.

“Ten Hag will of course never say that Antony behaves like an idiot, but he thinks so.

“In general, this behaviour is addressed in the locker room, then someone says: hey, what are you doing?”
