Chelsea have recently held talks with the agent of Manchester United transfer target Antony, according to media outlet 90min.
The Ajax attacker is a priority target for Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag this summer as he seeks the rebuild the Manchester United.
Ten Hag worked with the 22 year old Brazilian at Ajax and wants to reunite with him at Manchester United.
However, Manchester United could face competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea for the transfer of Antony.
Chelsea are keen on signing a forward this summer and also have Ousmane Dembele and Raheem Sterling on their shortlist.
Antony has reportedly told Ajax he is keen on joining Manchester United this summer but the Red Devils could now face competition from Chelsea, who are after attacking reinforcements themselves.
According to Brazil head coach Tite, Antony has the same characteristics as PSG star Neymar.
Asked whether Neymar is a technical leader for Brazil, Tite replied: “Yes absolutely!
“Especially now, to share the professionalism with a series of athletes with his characteristic.
“Antony has that characteristic, Raphinha too, Vinicius, Rodrygo does, too.”
Meanwhile, former Ajax striker Patrick Kluivert is a huge fan of Antony and believes it won’t be long before he moves to a top club amid interest from Manchester United.
Kluivert said, as quoted by Manchester Evening News: “Antony is a real Ajax attacker. His ball technique, the speed, the brutality in his often decisive actions: that’s how we like to see it in Amsterdam.
“Whether there are two or three men in his back, he demands the ball and is immediately threatening. He will never hide.
“I think it will not be long before Antony will make the step to a foreign top club.”
Since joining Ajax in 2020, Antony has racked up 22 goals and 20 assists in 79 appearances as well as winning two Eredivisie titles.
