Premier League club submit offer for Manchester United star
Premier League newcomers Fulham have made an £11million offer for Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira, according to Daily Mail.
The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Brazilian club Flamengo but now has the option of returning to the Premier League with newly-promoted Fulham.
Fulham have made an initial £8.6million offer, rising to £11m if certain performance related targets are met.
It is now up to Pereira to decide if he wants to join Fulham, have a crack at trying to impress new United boss Erik ten Hag or prioritise a permanent deal with Flamengo.
Manchester United are reportedly open to listening to offers for Pereira this summer.
Pereira has not played for Manchester United since June 2020.
Turkish club Fenerbahce are also interested in signing the Brazilian midfielder this summer, according to ESPN.
It is believed Manchester United boss Ten Hag has told the 26 year old midfielder that he will be given a chance to impress during the summer tour of Thailand and Australia.
However, Pereira hasn’t ruled out leaving the club this summer if it represents a better chance of playing regular football.
Pereira has a year left on his Manchester United contract and the Red Devils could also consider selling the Brazilian midfielder this summer to avoid losing him for free next summer.
Meanwhile, former Sheffield United and Middlesbrough manager Neil Warnock believes it will “take at least three years” for Erik ten Hag to fix Manchester United.
Warnock posted on Twitter: “It’s going to take at least three years for Man United to sort out the chaos Steve McClaren talks about at the club, what a mess it sounds like there. Lack of leadership for a decade.”
Manchester United finished sixth in the Premier League last season despite spending over £120million in signing Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho.
Manchester United also ended the campaign with a goal difference of zero after scoring 57 goals and conceding 57 goals.
