Brazilian stars Antony of Ajax and Raphinha of Leeds United caught the eye last season with their brilliant performances for their respective teams.
Both players are comfortable playing on the right wing but Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has instead made signing Antony a priority despite Raphinha having Premier League experience.
Raphinha was initially linked with a move to Manchester United this summer but Ten Hag is now focused on signing Antony from his former club Ajax instead.
Former United player Luke Chadwick has revealed why Ten Hag prefers Antony to Raphinha.

“Raphinha has done it in the Premier League, and of course we haven’t seen Antony do that yet, but I think he’s got the ability to do that,” he told Caught Offside.
“If United do get him in, it’s an opportunity for Ten Hag to have potentially a few players, alongside Donny van de Beek, and Frenkie de Jong if they get him, who know his management and his tactics inside out.
“Obviously Raphinha looks like a player who’d fit the bill really well, but I can understand why Ten Hag might prefer Antony because of that connection at Ajax.”

He added: “I think what Ten Hag’s doing is targeting players he knows, which I think is quite important.
“It could be really useful for him to have players on the pitch who’ve worked with him before and know what he wants them to do.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United starlet Zidane Iqbal has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
Zidane announced via his Twitter account that he has extended his contract with Manchester United.
Manchester United have also announced he has signed a contract with the club until 2025 with an option to extend for another year.
Writing on social media after signing a new contract, Iqbal said: “Delighted to have extended my stay at this wonderful club. Praise be to God.”
