Manchester United have sealed the transfer of Tyrell Malacia from Dutch club Feyenoord, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The 22 year old left-back reached an agreement on personal terms with Manchester United on Friday. He is set to arrive at Manchester this weekend to undergo his medical and then be officially announced as a Manchester United player.
According to Romano via Utd Plug, Holland international Malacia really wanted the Manchester United move this summer and did everything to join Manchester United.
Manchester United agreed a €15million fee plus €2million in add-ons with Feyenoord for the transfer of Tyrell Malacia.
According to The Athletic, Malacia agreed a four-year contract with the option for an additional fifth year with the Red Devils.
French club Lyon had earlier agreed a deal with Feyenoord for the transfer of Malacia before the Red Devils hijacked the deal.
Malacia will compete with Luke Shaw for a place at left-back in the starting XI while Alex Telles will be allowed to leave Old Trafford.
Feyenoord director Frank Arnesen confirmed earlier this week that the Red Devils have reached an agreement with the Dutch club for the transfer of Malacia.
Arnesen told 1908.nl: “The agreement with Man United is there. We are now waiting for Tyrell. If Malacia says yes, then a transfer to Manchester Utd is imminent.”
