Tyrell Malacia has agreed personal terms with Manchester United ahead of a potential move to Old Trafford from Feyenoord.
The Feyenoord left-back is set to be announced as Manchester United’s first signing of the summer in the next few days.
The 22 year old left-back is set to arrive at Manchester over the weekend for his medical after reaching an agreement with the club.
Manchester United agreed a €15million fee plus €2million in add-ons with Feyenoord for the transfer of Tyrell Malacia.
French club Lyon had been in talks with Feyenoord for Malacia and had negotiated a fee of €13 million up front, plus €2 million of add-ons.
Lyon had hoped to conclude the deal on Tuesday, however that offer was trumped by Manchester United’s bid.
The details of Malacia’s Manchester United offer has now been revealed.
According to The Athletic, Malacia has agreed a four-year contract with the option for an additional fifth year with Manchester United.
Malacia, 22, made 50 appearances in all competitions for Feyenoord last season as he helped guide the Dutch side to the UEFA Conference League final in May.
The 22-year-old made his debut for the Netherlands last September and has won five caps for his national side.
After agreeing personal terms with Malacia, Manchester United are now pushing to sign Ajax centre-back Lisandro Martinez this summer.
Advanced negotiations are taking place between United and Ajax, with the player believed to be keen on a reunion with his former coach Erik ten Hag.
Manchester United are believed to be favourites to sign Martinez despite interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal.
