Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has told Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag he won’t report for pre-season training today amid reports he’s seeking to leave the club.

According to Samuel Luckhurst of Manchester Evening News, Cristiano Ronaldo have told Manchester United that he won’t report for pre-season training on Monday due to family reasons.

Manchester United have reportedly accepted his explanation for missing training today but no time has been given for when the Portugal captain will report for training.

Manchester United have suffered a huge blow to the new season after Ronaldo asked to leave the club this summer.

Ronaldo told Manchester United on Saturday that he wants to leave the club this summer despite only returning to Old Trafford last summer.

According to The Times, Cristiano Ronaldo asked to be allowed to leave Manchester United should the Red Devils receive a satisfactory offer.

The 37 year old forward reportedly wants to leave Manchester United because he wants to continue playing in the Champions League for the remainder of his career.

Ronaldo has never missed Champions League football since leaving Sporting Lisbon for Manchester United in 2003.

The 37 year old Portugal international has been part of 19 consecutive Champions League seasons.

He has never played in the Europa League, in which United will feature this season after finishing sixth in the Premier League.
