Premier League rival Chelsea are reportedly willing to offer Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo more than £500,000-a-week in wages to make the move to Stamford Bridge.
Cristiano Ronaldo told Manchester United on Saturday that he wants to leave the club this summer.
Chelsea are considering a move for Cristiano Ronaldo amid his uncertain future at Manchester United and Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has already had talks with his agent.
Ronaldo reportedly earns around £500,000-a-week at Manchester United and Chelsea are willing to offer the Portugal captain more plus the chance to play Champions League football next season.
However, according to Metro, Ronaldo is not keen on a move to Chelsea and would rather move abroad if he gets his wish of leaving Manchester United.
Despite his desire to leave Manchester United, Ronaldo isn’t willing to join a direct rival and prefers instead to move abroad.
German champions Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing Ronaldo as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who is keen on joining Barcelona.
Ronaldo believes a move to Chelsea will be controversial and would also damage his Manchester United legacy.
While United have stated the striker is not for sale, Erik ten Hag is said to be open to letting him leave if he can find a replacement.
Players like Antony, Serge Gnabry and Paulo Dybala have been identified as possible replacements should Ronaldo leave the club this summer.
