Manchester United can sign Manchester City star Erling Haaland in 2025 for £150million, according to Spanish media outlet Marca.

Erling Haaland always includes release clause in his contracts and his deal with Manchester City is said to be no different.

Haaland’s Manchester City contract has two release clauses. The first of £172m triggered in 2024 – drops by £22m from 2025, opening the door to any potential suitors.  

Manchester United got close to signing Erling Haaland before he joined Borussia Dortmund in 2020 but got no chance of signing him this summer due to a lack of Champions League football next season.

Manchester United’s refusal to add a release clause in his contract made Haaland opt to sign for Borussia Dortmund instead.

There was a release clause in his deal to go from Red Bull Salzburg to Borussia Dortmund which Manchester City triggered this summer for £51million.

Erling Haaland joined Manchester City this summer as one of the most sought-after strikers in world football after scoring 83 goals in 87 games for Borussia Dortmund.
