Tottenham star Steven Bergwijn has reportedly snubbed an offer to join Manchester United this summer.

Steven Bergwijn only arrived at Tottenham in January 2020 from PSV Eindhoven but is keen on leaving Antonio Conte’s side after barely playing under the Italian.

According to Dutch media outlet De Telegraaf, Manchester United offered up to £35million to sign Steven Bergwijn but the Dutch international only wants to join Ajax.

Premier League side Everton were also interested in signing the Dutch international as a replacement for Richarlison, who has joined Tottenham this summer.

Ajax have been in talks with Spurs for several weeks and finally came to an agreement over a fee on Monday.

Manchester United had hoped to hijack the deal but Steven Bergwijn is focused on joining Dutch champions Ajax.

Meanwhile, co-owner of National League side Wrexham, Rob McElhenney, has made a cheeky bid to try and secure the services of Ronaldo next season.

Ronaldo has asked to leave Manchester United this summer.

McElhenney has jokingly asked what it would take to sign Ronaldo from Manchester United this summer.

Responding to a tweet saying: “Cristiano Ronaldo has asked to leave Manchester United if they receive a suitable offer this summer,” McElhenney replied with “define suitable”.

What would quantify a “suitable offer” for Manchester United is up for debate, given the club would be losing one of the game’s all-time greatest players.

However, Wrexham aren’t to be considered as serious bidders for Ronaldo.
