Liverpool Airport has poked fun at Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo by offering him a chance to ‘avoid the queues’ and secure a quick exit from Old Trafford at their airport.
The Manchester United star sensationally announced his desire to leave the club this summer despite the arrival of new manager Erik ten Hag.
Despite Ronaldo’s desire to leave the club, the Red Devils are unwilling to sell the 37 year old forward.
Liverpool airport’s official account tweeted: “Itching to get out of Manchester, but want to avoid the queues?
“We happily invite @Cristiano to try the North West’s Faster, Easier, Friendlier Airport, where he can connect on to Munich or Lisbon with Lufthansa, or fly Ryanair direct to Paris or Rome.”
Ronaldo scored 24 goals in all competitions for Manchester United last season and the Red Devils are keen on keeping the Portugal captain at the club next season.
Ronaldo is yet to report for pre-season and the club have been left in the dark over whether the forward will travel with the squad on the pre-season tour of Asia and Australia.
Former Premier League forward Gabriel Agbonlahor has slammed Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to Agbonlahor, Ronaldo doesn’t care about Manchester United and his legacy at the club.
“If there is something better for Ronaldo, he will go, he will drop Man United immediately, he doesn’t care,” he said.
“I’m sure it’s very disappointing for Man United fans and he’s ruining his legacy. When they needed him Man United fans will remember that he jumped ship.
“Even Ten Hag, he is probably buzzing deep down. He’s probably delighted because he wouldn’t have started him too much next season anyway.”
