According to Dutch media outlet De Telegraaf, Manchester United have submitted a new bid to Ajax for Argentine centre-back Lisandro Martinez.
The report claims the new offer from Manchester United is €50million including bonuses for the 24 year old centre-back.
Manchester United’s previous offer for Lisandro was €38million which was rejected by Ajax.
The Ajax board will deliberate on Manchester United’s new offer for Martinez on Friday but it is expected Manchester United’s new offer will be accepted.
Ajax signed Martinez from Argentine club Defensa y Justica for €7million in 2019 and they are set to make a huge profit on the 24 year old.
Martinez is keen on leaving Ajax for Manchester United this summer and has pressured the Dutch champions to accept Manchester United’s new offer of €50million.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich director Oliver Kahn has now responded to reports linking Cristiano Ronaldo to Bayern Munich.
According to Kahn, Bayern Munich aren’t interested in signing Ronaldo this summer because he doesn’t fit into the philosophy of the German club.
Speaking to journalist Frank Linkesch, Bayern Munich director Oliver Kahn said:
”As much as I appreciate Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the greatest players, a move would not fit into our philosophy.”
