Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has sent a warning Manchester United.

Erling Haaland was unveiled as a Manchester City player on Sunday to hundreds of fans gathered outside Etihad Stadium.

And when asked which team he was looking forward to playing against the most, Haaland replied: “I don’t want to say the words, but… Manchester United.”

Manchester United tried signing the Norway international before he joined Borussia Dortmund in 2020.

Haaland was unveiled by Manchester City on Sunday alongside Julian Alvarez, Stefan Ortega Moreno and Kalvin Phillips, although the former Leeds midfielder was unable to attend the event in person due to illness.

According to Mike Verweij of Dutch media outlet De Telegraaf, Ajax star Lisandro Martinez believes he can triple his Ajax salary by joining Manchester United.

Lisandro is keen on leaving Ajax for the Premier League this summer and is pushing the Dutch club to accept Manchester United’s latest offer.

Manchester United have reportedly submitted a new bid of €50million including bonuses for Lisandro and Ajax are yet to make a decision on the offer from Man United.

Lisandro is a versatile player who can play as a centre-back, left-back and defensive midfielder. Man United boss Erik ten Hag considers him as a priority target for this summer.

The Red Devils have no intention to give up on signing Lisandro and are confident the latest bid for the centre-back will be accepted by Ajax.
