Manchester United have agreed personal terms over a deal to sign Albania international goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha, according to @mufcMPB.

Strakosha is currently a free agent after leaving Lazio this summer.

The 27 year old goalkeeper is currently “training on his own in Rome” and is “waiting for the green light” to travel for his medical.

@mufcMPB tweeted: “EXCLUSIVE: Manchester United have agreed personal terms with Thomas Strakosha and are set to complete his signing.

“Strakosha is currently training on his own in Rome & is waiting on green light to travel for medical (he could join the Utd squad in Melbourne).”

Manchester United are keen on signing the 27 year old goalkeeper as a free agent this summer as back-up to David de Gea following Dean Henderson’s loan move to Nottingham Forest.

Strakosha made 164 Serie A appearances during his time at Lazio, keeping 48 clean sheets in the process. 23 of those appearances came last season.

Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag has revealed the commitment of Manchester United fans have motivated him to bring the ‘good times’ back to Manchester United.

Ten Hag said: “I do feel they are really committed to this club, waiting for good times and they are really supportive of Manchester United. It’s good to see that and it motivates me even more.”

He added: “We want to play a proactive style of football – on the ball and off the ball. That is, trying to do that has to be our intentions and it’s now, firstly, the coaches bring it over to the team that we are, in every situation, proactive.

“We are brave and willing to have the ball, to give each other options. But also off the ball, to get the pressing style is what we’re working for together.”
