Manchester United forward Anthony Martial was named Man of the Match following his brilliant performance in Manchester United’s 4-0 victory over Liverpool.

Martial named Man of the Match was well deserved as the forward definitely looked a bit more like his old self, capping his display with a tidy finish in the first half.

The France international, who struggled last season at Manchester United and also on loan at Sevilla, scored Manchester United’s third goal against Liverpool in Thailand.

Erik ten Hag will be delighted with Martial’s performance against Liverpool as the forward’s Manchester United future had been in doubt this summer.

Jadon Sancho, Fred and Facundo Pellistri were the other goalscorers for Manchester United in the 4-0 victory over Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has given his verdict on the 4-0 victory over Liverpool on Tuesday.

Ten Hag told MUTV: “I am satisfied today. It was a team with a great sprit and we know we are just getting started.

“We made some mistakes in the press, we conceded some chances, but we created a lot.

“We have to work hard to cut out the mistakes but of course we are happy.

“I know we have good players. We have started to build a team and I am happy with the first game.

“It will take a lot of time. I have seen a lot of mistakes.”
