
Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard has revealed the difference between Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United and previous Manchester United teams.
Manchester began our pre-season schedule with a 4-0 thrashing of Liverpool in Bangkok on Tuesday before flying to Australia for the second-leg of their tour.
According to Steven Gerrard, Manchester United under Ten Hag are more aggressive and on the front foot.
Speaking to 10 News First , he said: “Manchester United, obviously, the name speaks for itself. They’ve been a rival of mine from a personal point of view for many years.
“New manager and I watched their game against Liverpool. It looks like they’ll have a different style, to be more aggressive and on the front foot. We’ll prepare for that.”
Manchester United wil take on Aston Villa in a pre-season game in Australia next Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Tyrell Malacia made his first Manchester United appearance in the 4-0 pre-season victory over Liverpool on Tuesday in Thailand.
The Dutch international left-back came on for Luke Shaw in the beginning of the second-half.
Speaking after his first outing in a Manchester United shirt, Malacia said: “I’m very happy. It feels amazing to be here and to wear this shirt.
“It was difficult. It was very hard, but we made it.”
