Manchester United have reached a full agreement with Spanish side Barcelona for the transfer of Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Manchester United will pay a guaranteed fee of €75million plus another €10million in add-ons for the transfer of the Barcelona midfielder.
However, despite reaching an agreement with Barcelona for the transfer of De Jong, the Red Devils are yet to agree personal terms with the midfielder.
According to Romano, De Jong’s preference remains to stay at Barcelona despite Manchester United reaching an agreement with the Spanish side.
Romano wrote: “Manchester United have reached full agreement with Barcelona for Frenkie de Jong, after further talks. Package worth €85m. Fee guaranteed around €75m plus add-ons.
“Personal terms, still the issue to be resolved – as Frenkie’s priority is to stay at Barcelona.”
Man United have reportedly told Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong to make up his mind over an Old Trafford transfer by the end of the week, according to M.E.N.
The Red Devils have reportedly warned the Barcelona midfielder that the club will move on to other targets if he fails to make a decision this week.
Barcelona are open selling De Jong to the Red Devils this summer but the player himself has indicated that his preference is to stay at the Nou Camp.
