Barcelona have included Dutch international Frenkie de Jong in their squad for their pre-season tour of the United States of America.
Barcelona had reportedly threatened to leave out the midfielder out of their tour following his refusal to leave the Spanish side for Manchester United.
Manchester United have reached an agreement with Barcelona for the transfer of the midfielder, with the Red Devils to pay a guaranteed fee of €75million plus another €10million in add-ons.
While reports in the Spanish media claim the midfielder has told Manchester United that he isn’t interested in move, reports in the English media claim the midfielder wants to join Manchester United but only after he receives the £17million Barcelona owe him.
The Sun have claimed Barcelona actually owe Frenkie de Jong about £24million in wages and not £17million as being reported by the Spanish media.
Manchester United bosses are convinced De Jong is open to moving to Old Trafford, having held talks with the midfielder before agreeing the deal with Barcelona.
The Red Devils reportedly still remain committed to signing the midfielder.
