Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn has hailed Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo as a fantastic player amid reports linking the German club with the 37 year old.
Kahn also admitted he loves Ronaldo but isn’t sure signing the Manchester United forward is the right move for Bayern Munich.
Oliver Kahn told Christian Falk of Sports Bild: “I love Cristiano Ronaldo, fantastic player but every club has a philosophy and I’m not sure if it would be the right signal for Bayern and Bundesliga if we signed him now.
“Such a move does not necessarily fit with our ideas.”
Bayern Munich sporting director, Hasan Salihamidzic also insists the German club won’t make a move for Ronaldo.
“I have a lot of respect for Cristiano Ronaldo, his successes and his career,” Salihamidzic said.
“But once again, that was and is not a topic for us.”
