Ten Hag tells Manchester United to sign this attacker whether Cristiano Ronaldo stays or leaves
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has told the club to sign Ajax attacker Antony whether Cristiano Ronaldo stays or leaves Manchester United this summer, according to a report on The Express.
It had been claimed previously that Manchester United would only go after Antony if Ronaldo were to leave in this window.
Ten Hag remains keen on signing Antony irrespective of whether Ronaldo stays or leaves with Ten Hag believing Antony can play a key role in Manchester United’s attack.
Ten Hag signed Antony when he was Ajax boss from Brazilian side Sao Paulo in 2020. The wide man has scored 23 goals in 79 appearances for Ajax.
He made his debut for the Brazil national team last year and has two goals from his nine caps so far. United have made three signings so far this summer.
Manchester United have already signed Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord, Christian Eriksen as a free agent and Lisandro Martinez from Ajax this summer.
