Brighton boss sends message to referee for failing to do this during Brighton’s 2-1 victory over Man United
Brighton boss Graham Potter believes Brighton should have had a penalty during their 2-1 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
According to Potter, his players believe Brighton forward Danny Welbeck was fouled by Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez in the second-half.
Potter told Sky Sports: “I’ve not seen it back but the guys seem to think there was a chance of it [a penalty].
“We can’t complain too much, we had enough of them on our side today.
“They are going to put you under pressure we had chances to attack better and make it three but we were able to stick in there at the end. It’s a nice start for us.”
