Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has finally reacted to talks that the Spanish side will re-sign Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has been keenly pursuing an exit from Old Trafford this summer, causing many to speculate whether he would once again take up arms with Los Blancos.

However, despite Ronaldo spending nine fruitful years in the Spanish capital, Bernabeu chief Perez laughed off any suggestion of a return.

Ahead of Real Madrid’s UEFA Super Cup 2-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday, Perez was asked by fans in Helsinki whether Real Madrid will sign Ronaldo:

He replied: “Sign Cristiano? Again? He’s 38 years old!”
