Manchester United leading race to sign highly-rated forward with 14 goal contributions in just 12 games
According to Portuguese media outlet A Bola, Manchester United are leading the race to sign Benfica forward Goncalo Ramos.
German champions Bayern Munich are also pushing to sign the 21 year old forward with 8 goals and 6 assists in just 12 games for Benfica this season.
Ramos has been handed the starting role at Benfica this season following the departure of Darwin Nunez to Liverpool this summer and he has responded with impressive performances which is now attracting interest from top sides across Europe.
Ramos will definitely suit Erik ten Hag’s style of play as he is a striker who can also drop deeper to play the number 10 role.
Following interest in Ramos, Benfica are looking to offer the 21 year old improved terms while also attaching a €120m buyout clause to his contract.
Benfica are shrewd negotiators, and Ramos potentially signing the extension will only give them more leeway during negotiations.
