Former Leeds United goalkeeper Paddy Kenny has described Tyrell Malacia’s performance against Manchester City on Sunday as embarrassing.
Malacia was taken off at half-time after a disappointing performance in the 6-3 defeat to Manchester City.
“It was embarrassing, can’t believe it, honest to god,” Kenny told Football Insider.
“I know it’s against Man City, they are an unbelievable team. For instance, Foden’s goal at the back post, the left-back Malacia, you could see what was happening.
“I was thinking, ‘go on, give him a nudge, get in front of him, break your neck to get the ball’. He didn’t look bothered.
“It was like he let Foden score, embarrassing. Haaland’s goal from the corner, they just didn’t look bothered. They didn’t look like they wanted it.
“You have to break your neck to keep it out. As a goalkeeper. watching that, embarrassing. The first thing I said when that goal went in, I would have been walling those players at half-time. Absolutely embarrassing.”
