Manchester United have joined the race for the transfer of Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, according to Daily Express.

Kante’s Chelsea contract will expire at the end of the current season and he is yet to fresh terms at Stamford Bridge.

Kante is one of the best midfielders in the world but the France international has struggled with injuries this season. The 31 year old has made just two appearances for Chelsea this season due to injuries and is set to miss the World Cup.

Despite Kante’s injury problems, Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing the 31 year old as a free agent at the end of the season.

Manchester United signed Casemiro from Real Madrid during the summer but it is believed the signing of Kante would improve the strength in depth and give Erik ten Hag a different option against the very best teams in England and Europe.

PSG and Barcelona are also interested in signing the 31 year old Chelsea star.
