Manchester United are interested in signing former Manchester City right-back Jeremie Frimpong in January, according to reports.
According to Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenburg, Red Devils sent scouts to Germany over the weekend to watch Leverkusen’s 2-2 draw with Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.
Plettenberg also added that Manchester United want to sign high-quality right-back in January and made Frimpong a top transfer target.
The Dutch right-back has starred in the Bundesliga over the previous two seasons, netting six goals in 46 league appearances during his time at Bayer Leverkusen.
The 21 year old right-back came through the youth system at Manchester City, before leaving in 2019 in search of first-team football. He first moved to Celtic before joining Bayer Leverkusen.
