Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot has revealed Manchester United forward Antony wants to entertain fans with his technique and dribbling skills.
The Brazilian forward was criticised by Manchester United legend Paul Scholes for producing his trademark spin during Manchester United’s 3-0 victory over FC Sheriff on Thursday.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Dalot said: “He wants to entertain a little bit in his game. It’s a part of the way he plays.
“We’re happy to have Antony with us, he’s a fantastic player and I’m sure that his technique and his dribbling will help.”
Dalot added: “There is always going to be talk after a mistake, he missed the pass but if the pass went through, Casemiro was in a good position to receive the ball and probably assist or score a goal.
“So I think it’s normal after he missed the pass but I don’t think we should focus too much on what he did, it’s just part of his game. We’re happy to have a player like him.”
