Manchester United are currently 6th in the Premier League, 8 points behind leaders Arsenal and just a point behind Newcastle United, who are fourth. However, Newcastle United have played a game more than Manchester United.

According to the supercomputer from FiveThirtyEight, Manchester United will finish the season outside the top four and miss out on Champions League qualification for a second consecutive season.

The supercomputer has revealed Manchester City will win the Premier League this season with Arsenal finishing second. Liverpool have been backed to finish third despite their poor start to the season with Chelsea finishing fourth.

Interestingly, Erik ten Hag’s men have been forecasted to end the season on the same points tally as fourth placed Chelsea with 68, with the Blues scraping a place in Europe’s elite competition on goal difference.
