Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho scored the winner as the Red Devils beat Real Sociedad 1-0 on Thursday in the Europa League.

It was Garnacho’s second start for Manchester United and shows the trust that Erik ten Hag has in the young forward.

Garnacho broke a 58 year old record set by Manchester United legend George Best after scoring against Real Sociedad on Thursday.

Garnacho became the youngest non-English goalscorer in European competion in the history of the club, at the age of 18 years and 125 days after scoring against Real Sociedad.

Northern Ireland legend George Best previously held the record for the club after scoring against Swedish side Djurgardens IF in 1964 at the age of 18 years and 158 days.

If Garnacho can become even half the player that Best was in his peak, then United will have a real talent on our hands.
