Manchester United are set to sign Barcelona forward Memphis Depay in January, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The report adds Depay will ask to cancel his Barcelona contract in January and join Manchester United as a free agent.

The report also adds Depay has no intention of extending his deal at the Nou Camp – which expires this season – after just two league outings for Xavi’s side this term.

The Dutch international arrived at Barca on a free transfer in the summer of 2021 but has quickly fallen down the pecking order following the arrival of the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha. Tottenham and Chelsea are also said to be interested in Depay.
