‘Bad attitude or not, he can play’ – Gary Neville hails Manchester United star. It’s not Cristiano Ronaldo
Manchester United legend Gary Neville has singled Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho for praise.
Speaking on his Sky Sports podcast, Gary Neville said: “Alejandro Garnacho has got something about him — there’s no doubt about that. Bad attitude or not, he can play. He’s brought real energy since he’s come on down the left with his speed.
“The one-two and then the finish is class. I remember Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a solo goal from that side many years ago that won Manchester United a game here but not as late as this.
“Erik ten Hag will not believe it as his team have been really poor in the last 20 minutes, but he’s sent the travelling fans into mayhem. If you’re a young player at Man United, you’ve got to have arrogance, you’ve got to have ego.
“Garnacho looks like he’s got that — and passion as well. He’s just delivered a moment of absolute brilliance and he’s broken Fulham hearts.”
The 18 year old came off the bench to score the winner as Manchester United beat Fulham 2-1 before the World Cup break.
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag recently insisted the talent of Garnacho was never in doubt and revealed he wasn’t part of the team at the beginning of the season due to his poor attitude in training.
