Former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly close to agreeing a mega transfer to Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo is a free agent after his Manchester United contract was terminated following his controversial interview with Piers Morgan before the World Cup.

According to Spanish media outlet Marca, Ronaldo is set to sign a two year contract with Al-Nassr worth €3.8million per year, which would make him the best paid footballer ever.

Ronaldo has also attracted interest from MLS, but he is very conscious of picking up the most lucrative wage possible if calling time on his illustrious career in Europe.

Should Ronaldo end up joining Al-Nassr, he will link up with another former Premier League star in David Ospina, who played in goal for Arsenal between 2014 and 2019.
