Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has sent scouts to watch 16-year-old Scottish wonderkid Jack Wylie, according to a report on The Mirror.

Premier League rivals Arsenal are also interested in signing the highly-rated Ranger defender, who can play as a right-back and centre-back.

Manchester United scouts watched Wylie help Rangers lift the under-16 Club Academy Scotland Cup thanks to an emphatic 4-1 victory over bitter rivals Celtic earlier this month.

Rangers are reportedly aware of interest in the youngster and are desperate to convince him to commit his future to Rangers by signing a long-term deal in January, when he becomes eligible to pen his first professional contract.
