€100million World Cup-winning star being considered by Manchester United
Manchester United are said to be keeping tabs on Inter Milan attacker Lautaro Martinez ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Calciomercato via Manchester Evening News.
The 25 year old Inter Milan attacker was part of the Argentina squad that won the World Cup in Qatar.
Martinez has three and a half years left on his contract and Inter Milan will reportedly demand a fee of €100million (£87.6m) for his transfer.
He has scored 12 times in 26 matches for Inter Milan this season, of which nine have come in 18 Serie A games. Martinez netted and assisted in October’s 3-3 Champions League draw with Barcelona.
Despite starting once and making four substitute appearances, Martinez failed to score for Argentina at the World Cup.
Martinez has netted 86 times in 207 appearances for the Italian outfit, also providing 30 assists. He was a vital cog in the side that lifted the 2020/21 Serie A title, firing home 17 league goals overall.
