Arsenal legend Martin Keown has claimed Manchester United were lucky to win the Carabao Cup.
According to Keown, Manchester United didn’t play against any decent team until meeting Newcastle United in the final.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Keown said: “A lot of people are raving about Manchester United, and the United fans are going to say ‘ah, typical Keown’, but let’s look at the League Cup and look at who they beat.
“So they beat Burnley at home, they beat Charlton at home, they beat Forest when they were way bottom of the table, not the best of teams. And now they are champions, they have won the Carabao Cup.”
Keown added: “People are now talking about quadruples. Let’s have a look at this in six weeks’ time. If they keep winning like they are, no doubt they can push for the title.
“There’s team spirit, leaders are forming, you can see the character in the side. But it is only one trophy, it’s only the League Cup.”
