Arsenal are reportedly confident club hero Jack Wilshere will convince the West Ham star Declan Rice to join the Gunners over Manchester United.

Rice will almost certainly leave West Ham at the end of the season, having rejected multiple offers to extend his contract, and is attracting interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.

According to Daily Mail via Metro, Arsenal are confident of beating Manchester United to the transfer of West Ham captain Rice due to Wilshere.

Wilshere and Rice grew close while the former was at West Ham towards the end of his career and remain friends.
