Manchester United are confident of signing Harry Kane this summer if Tottenham Hotspur finish outside the top four, according to The Sun.

The Manchester United hierarchy reportedly believe Spurs missing out on a Champions League place will see them lower their £100million asking price for Kane.

Tottenham lost to Wolves on Saturday and will drop out of the top four on goal difference if fifth-placed Liverpool win their game in hand.

Manchester have made contact with Kane’s camp through a third party and have been encouraged by the response.

Kane’s Tottenham Hotspur contract will expire next year and the 29 year old striker is expected to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
