Manchester United have added Chelsea star Mason Mount to the club’s summer transfer shortlist, according to The Guardian via Daily Mail.

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is keen on signing a midfielder in the summer to boost the creativity in his midfield and has identified Mount as a key signing.

Manchester United reportedly see Mount as a cheaper alternative to Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham. The Borussia Dortmund midfielder is also wanted by Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Mount will have just one year left on his Chelsea contract at the end of the season and has so far failed to reach an agreement with Chelsea over a new contract. Should Mount choose not to extend his Chelsea contract, he is expected to be sold this summer by Chelsea.
