Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has reacted to the goalless draw against bottom of the league Southampton at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Ten Hag praised Manchester United players for showing character to play with 10 men for over an hour in the goalless draw against Southampton.

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro was sent off in the first half for a tackle on Southampton attacker Charly Alcaraz.

Ten Hag told Sky Sports: “Big compliments to the team. They showed big characer to play so long with 10. They were physically and mentally strong to get a point.”
