Southampton boss Ruben Selles has revealed that his Southampton side are “not happy” to have only come away with a point against 10-man Manchester United on Sunday.

Southampton played with an extra man for almost an hour after Casemiro was shown a straight red card for a high challenge on Carlos Alcaraz in the 34th minute.

“We take the game in two parts and the first part is about the result. We are not happy, we talk about coming here to win the game,” Selles told the Southern Daily Echo.

“We did our best to win the game so we are not happy with the point but really happy with the performance, we showed identity and principles in our game.

“We showed a team again playing together and wanting to get something so we’re disappointed with the point but happy with the performance.”
