Five Manchester United stars to miss Europa League clash against Real Betis

Five Manchester United stars will be unavailable for selection for Thursday’s Europa League clash against Real Betis in Spain.

Antony missed training on Wednesday through illness and has not travelled with the 21-man squad.

“Yes, unwell. Illness,” Erik ten Hag said when asked about Antony’s absence for the game against Real Betis.

Ten Hag also confirmed Alejandro Garnacho has a serious injury.

Asked when Garnacho is expected to return for Manchester United, Ten Hag said: “I can’t say exactly at this moment but it will take weeks. So it’s a serious injury I didn’t expect. A foul and a serious injury once again, after Christian Eriksen, a serious injury after a contact.”

Ten Hag will also be without Anthony Martial and long-term absentees Donny van de Beek and Christian Eriksen.
