Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo as the club’s top goalscorer in European football.

Rashford scored the only goal of the game as Manchester United beat Real Betis 1-0 in Spain on Thursday and 5-1 on aggregate to progress to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

Rashford’s goal against Real Betis is his 25th goal in European competitions for Manchester United, which saw him surpass Ronaldo’s record of 24 European goals for Manchester United.

Most of Ronaldo’s goals did come in the Champions League, with many of Rashford’s being in the Europa League.
