Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo has admitted he remains angry with Alejandro Garnacho following his comments after Manchester United beat Barcelona in the Europa League.
Following Manchester United’s victory over Barcelona, Garnacho posted on social media: “The big team goes to the next round”.
Araujo told Infobae: “Alejandro Garnacho’s gesture after beating us bothered me, it was not possible at that time to put something like that. I respect everyone and I feel that humility is ahead of everything.
“Everyone expresses themselves as they want, but I prefer to have a profile lower and show later what I do on the field. This is football, it is very long and there is still a long way to go. You have to go calmly and with humility.’
The Uruguay international, asked if he would ever do the same to respond to Garnacho, added: “No, they are football things that I think of in a different way.”
