Manchester United signing Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount in the summer would upset at least four Manchester United stars, according to The Express.

Mount is set to leave Chelsea at the end of the season after failing to reach an agreement with Chelsea over a new contract with his current deal expiring next year.

Mount has rejected a new deal at Chelsea worth £200,000-a-week, with the midfielder instead wanting an offer in the region of £250,000-a-week instead.

Should United pay that, he’d become one of the best-paid players at Manchester United.

According to The Express, at least four key Manchester United players won’t be happy to see Mount become one of the best-paid players at Manchester United.

Mount will earn more than Bruno Fernandes, who penned a new deal worth £240,000-a-week last year. Fernandes has been a huge player for United ever since his arrival from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020.

Mount would also earn £50,000-a-week more than Marcus Rashford, who has been in staggering form this season.

Mount would also be on more money than Luke Shaw and Lisandro Martinez, too, with the duo both emerging as key players under Ten Hag this term
