Man United hold talks to sign top €50m player as replacement for Harry Maguire

Manchester United have made an approach to sign Monaco centre-back Axel Disasi, according to reports in France.
According to FootMercato via Metro, Manchester United’s recruitment team met with Disasi’s representatives earlier this month to discuss a potential move to Old Trafford.
The 25-year-old has established himself as one of top defenders in Ligue 1, while he was also part of France’s squad which lost to Argentina in the World Cup final in December.
With Manchester United captain Harry Maguire expected to leave Old Trafford this summer, Disasi has been identified as an ideal replacement.
The report claims that Monaco would demand around €50 million (£43.8m) for Disasi, who will have two years remaining on his contract with the Ligue 1 side this summer.
Speaking earlier this season, Disasi made it clear that he is open to the idea of moving to the Premier League.
“I like England, it’s a very exciting league. We’ll say it’s my favourite league,” Disasi said.
